Carolina Counters selects Seedspark to provide an automation ordering system for setting up the counter top production cutting and implementation process. The process was handled as a manual process that took at least 2 - 3 hours daily to outline all of the counter top orders and outline the way to batch orders to properly cut the molds for each order, set them up with the right finished or unfinished edges per order. Their staff spent those 2-3 hours a day calculating how to make those cuts and then entering those items into ticket preparation software so that they could implement those cuts in the warehouse to fulfill the orders. The application produced a batch entry functionality that automatically calculated each order and successfully set up the print tickets for the production warehouse. This eliminated at least an hour and a half of work per day just for the clerical end of the application and the tickets now are batched and produced automatically. This also created a more efficient method for cutting the counter top molds and saved at least 2-3 molds within the production schedule every day, in labor savings that equates to about 30 minutes for 5 different employees each day that the system has been used. This has decreased Carolina Counters overall wage expense by approximately 10% this year. It has also eliminated overtime expenses for many of the clerical staff that manually calculated the counter top mold orders previously. ![]()
